catcher post #3

So I am three quarters of the way through and I have realized that Holden does not like change. He enjoyed the museum because it never changes. Every exhibit was the same no matter how many years later he returned. The "eskimo" was always there waiting for him, fishing. 

He doesn't like how people's lives have moved on. He wants to come in contact with his friends from many years ago, because his life has changed without them. Unfortunately he is not getting over his loneliness. Holden is definitely using his drinking and partying to get over pain that he feels inside.  I am still waiting for the turn around.... I don't think its every going to come!

I am gonna make a comment that actually relates to your post :P

I completely agree with the change thing. Holden is looking for something concrete to fall back on, that isn't going to change because his life keeps changing.
